A rebel soldier, Kyle Reese (played by Michael Biehn), is also sent from the future to protect Sarah Connor from the Terminator. Reese explains to Sarah the importance of her future son and the danger he faces at the hands of the Terminator.
The film is a race against time, with Sarah and Kyle trying to survive the Terminator's attacks while searching for a way to destroy it. Meanwhile, the Terminator is relentless in his quest to find and kill Sarah.
