Thor
One of the most well-known and powerful characters in Norse mythology and also one of the main superheroes of Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby, Thor made his first appearance in comics in "Journey into Mystery #83" in 1962.
In Norse mythology, Thor is the god of thunder, the son of Odin, the king of the gods, and Jord, the personification of Earth. He is known for wielding the hammer Mjolnir, a magical weapon that grants him the power of thunder and lightning, as well as the ability to fly. In Marvel Comics, Thor is portrayed as a powerful Asgardian warrior, who is sent to Earth by Odin as punishment for his arrogant behavior.
On Earth, he takes on the identity of Dr. Donald Blake, a physically disabled doctor, while learning lessons of humility and becoming worthy to wield Mjolnir. When he wields the hammer, he transforms into Thor, the god of thunder, and protects the world from the dangers that threaten it.
